Not Sure Which One You Need?

Most people calling us do not know the trade word for what has gone wrong, and that is fine. Describe it in plain language and we will sort it out on the phone. Here is roughly how the work splits, if you would rather work it out first.

  • The vehicle needs to go somewhere. That is emergency towing if it happened just now, or auto and vehicle transport if it is planned, longer distance, or a car that has not run in years.
  • It will not start, you are locked out, or you are out of fuel. In a driveway or a lot, that is roadside assistance. On a busy road, the safer call is usually a quick tow rather than working beside traffic.
  • It is off the road, in sand, or in a ditch. That is a winch-out. Pulling badly is how vehicles get bent, so this one is worth leaving to a truck built for it.
  • It is bigger than a car. Semis, buses and RVs are heavy-duty recovery. Excavators, skid steers and tractors are equipment hauling. Boats are boat transport, sheds and containers are structure moving.

What We Will Not Take On

Worth saying plainly, because it saves you a call. We do not do motorcycles, repossessions, or private-property impound work. We do not change tires on semis or heavy equipment at the roadside either, because that job is genuinely dangerous beside live traffic and there are mobile tire services set up for it. If it is outside what we do, we will tell you on the phone rather than send a truck and work it out when it arrives.

Towing and the Shop, One Call

Trevor also takes on auto repair by appointment, scheduled around the towing. If the vehicle we are picking up needs work and it is a job he takes, mention it when you call and we can bring it to the Ravenel yard rather than dropping it somewhere and leaving you to arrange a second tow across town. Towing comes first on the schedule, so shop work gets a straight date rather than a promise we cannot keep.

Who We Work For

A fair share of our week is drivers who have had a bad morning, and the rest is businesses that cannot afford downtime: contractors moving equipment between sites, marinas and boat owners, property managers, and insurance agencies whose clients need a tow. If you are booking on behalf of a company, our commercial and fleet page covers accounts, documentation and billing.

Questions About Our Charleston Towing Services

Which towing service do I need in Charleston?

Describe the problem and we will name it for you. Broadly: a vehicle that needs moving is a tow, a vehicle that will not start in a driveway is roadside, a vehicle off the road is a winch-out, and anything bigger than a car is heavy-duty. Call (843) 813-6335 and we will sort it in a minute.

Do you do all of these services 24/7?

Towing and recovery run day and night, weekends and holidays. Scheduled work like transport, shed moving and shop time is booked around the emergency calls, so those get a date rather than an hour.

Is there anything you don't tow?

Yes, and it is better said up front. No motorcycles, no repossessions, and no private-property impound work. We also do not change tires on semis or heavy equipment at the roadside. Everything else that rolls, floats or needs a trailer, ask us.

Can one truck handle a car and a piece of equipment?

Not usually, and that is the point of running two lines. A rollback handles cars and light trucks. Equipment, containers, boats and structures ride on the heavy side. Tell us what it is and roughly what it weighs and we will send the right one instead of the nearest one.

Do you charge to tell me what I need?

No. The phone call is free and so is the answer, including when the answer is that you do not need a tow at all. Trevor has talked people out of tows before when the fix was simpler than they thought.

Do you serve my town?

We run from Ravenel across Charleston and Colleton County, out to the sea islands and up to I-95 at Walterboro. The full list is on our service areas page, and if your town is not on it, call and ask anyway.
